대명사

우선 대명사의 개념정립이 필요하다........대명사의 역할은 앞에선 언급되었던 명사의 반복을 피하기 위해 사용하는것이 대명사의 역할이다. 영어는 반복을 싫어하기 때문에 대명사의 쓰임이 유난히 많은것이 특징이다.

 

그럼 대명사의 출제포인트를 정리해 보겠다.

1) 대명사의 위치문제

주어자리-> 주격대명사

목적어자리->목적격대명사/ 소유 대명사/ 재귀대명사-> 그 문장의 주어를 다시 언급할 경우)

소유격자리->소유격대명사

부사자리->재귀대명사(강조용법)

- He waited for her to retrun her report before he submitted his.

  Mr. Kim himself guided the group to the factory .

 

2) 앞에나온 명사와 대명사의 수와 성의일치

Businesses should consider social implications of ________ activities. (a) its     (B) their

Mr. Lim enjoyed the work very much so that ______ decided to chasge his career.     (a) he      (b) she       (C) they

The firm wishes to announce the addition of Mr.Kim to _______ board of directos.   (a) its       (b) his     

 

3) 재귀대명사의 용법

주어와의 성과 수에 일치

- Mr. Kim himself guided the group to the factory .

  Mr. Kim doesn't have timer to review the report himself.

-Mr. Kim killed himself.

- He asked her to report the result ________.   (a) himself     (B) herself 

   실질적인 주어는 그녀이므로 b가 답이다

 

4) that/ those용법

Mr. Kim's performance is better than ______ of his colleague.

(a) one    (B) the one     (c) it       (D) that    

London's restaurants are superior to ______ of NY.

Those who are responsible for the crime should be punished.

 (주격 관계 대명사의 선행사로 대명사를 취할 경우 단수는 the one 복수는 those만을 받을수 있다)

 

5) one / another, a third, a fourth

    one / the other

    each other/ one another.

They stared at each other.

 

6) some, any, most, none

- Any equipment should be signed for.
